Brian has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 20 years. After graduating from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Brian worked at the prestigious Craig Hospital for spinal cord and brain injuries in Englewood Colorado. While living in Denver, Brian earned a massage therapy degree and strength and conditioning certifications, leading to work with semi-professional soccer and cycling athletes. Taking his experience in neurological rehabilitation, physical conditioning, and body working back home to Upstate New York, Brian launched himself into the outpatient orthopedic setting earning his manual therapy certification as a Mulligan Practitioner. After 16 years of practicing under the constraints of managed care, Brian began experiencing a deep discontentment with the health insurance system and its inability to place quality of care above costs. Notably, this time of frustration was accompanied by a series of stress-related illnesses which had a seriously impacted Brian’s life, prompting him to delve more deeply into himself and strengthening his commitment to serve others. Being a long time practitioner of Tai Chi for physical health, Brian began rediscovering the power of both Tai Chi and Qigong for personal cultivation and inner strength. A period of personal and professional rebirth found Brian stepping into the arena of private practice where you will find him today.
